Submission Guidelines

Call For Artists

I am thrilled to announce that submissions are NOW being accepted for turn the page 2020, a two day artists’ book event held in the stunning glass Atrium of The Forum building in Norwich City Centre on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th May 2019.

 

The only event of its type and caliber in the Eastern Region, the fair offers a unique platform for artists whose work is book based OR informed by the physical or conceptual properties of the book.

 

A variety of exhibiting options are available including tables, plinths, wall or floor space and display cabinets and will showcase an eclectic mix of work including traditionally produced limited editions, zines, folio’s and multiples, sculptural or altered books and book based installation or film. A program of associated activities will be running alongside the book art exhibitors punctuated by performances of poetry and storytelling.

Submission Deadline: Send us your submission before New Years Eve! Tuesday 31st of December at midnight GMT.

Submission Options:

Option One- Exhibitors Table

(L1800xW760mm)

£70 per table *

Sharing a table is possible.

PLEASE NOTE: If you would like to share a table BOTH parties must still submit their work.

Please clearly state in your email who you would like to share a table with.

Option Two- Single Work for Display

Book related artwork

Please note we have limited sized plinths available. We are happy to discuss sizes before submission

e.g. A Single Item being displayed on a plinth

or in display case (limited availability)

Option Thee- Multiple Items for Display

Book related artwork

Please note we have limited sized plinths available. We are happy to discuss sizes before submission

e.g. Multiple Items or Installation that need to be

displayed on a large plinth or floor space

Option 4- Video, Film or Time Based Media

To be shown on large 24 metre screen available for artists

Submission Guidelines:

There is a non-refundable submission fee of £10.00 that must be paid via Paypal or BACS before the submission deadline. All payments must include the artists full name or the name of the small/fine press or artist group for reference. Full payment details can be found in the downloadable submissions form below.

You may enter up to five sample images of your work and/or one short film of up to 5 minutes.

 

All images must be 300 dpi

Maximum total file size per piece of work is 10MB. Submissions may be sent via email or WeTransfer.

Please include a completed submission form available to download below.

Please include a short artist statement and description of your artistic practise as it relates to book art. No more than one side of A4. This statement helps to tell us more about your work.

If submitting work to be displayed on a plinth or in a display case artists must specify an estimated size of the  work in metric units, eg. cm/mm/metres.

Please send your work as a .jpeg or .tiff

If submitting a video please include a link in the body of your email to a private online video.

If submitting via email:
