The Norfolk Longbook is an ongoing community project for artists and people that live in, or are inspired by the county of Norfolk. It takes the form of a concertina book which will continue to grow through submissions from the public and through workshops run throughout the year. The book will go on display annually at turn the page artists' book fair to show its continuing progress.
Our previous Lino Printing Workshop with Sally Hirst was a great success
On this workshop students explored printing a block by using both a baren and a press and a variety of different printing papers. They learnt basics of relief printing, were shown how to produce different types of marks by cutting into lino blocks, and were instructed in inking and printing in multiple colours,

Pages created on our workshops will be added to the Norfolk Longbook and exhibited at turn the page artists' book fair
Our next workshop date is Saturday June 15th
Booking is always essential as places are limited email us for details
We are very pleased that The Norfolk Longbook recently had a small feature in the May 2013 edition of the EDP Norfolk Magazine, we hope to gain lots more public interest for the Longbook in the future.

Page Details: Work sent in will be bound into the long book and can be of any subject although must be Norfolk inspired, the submissions can be in various forms: paintings, original hand pulled prints (not photocopies), drawings, illustrations, poems, short stories or even personal memoirs recounting an event or memory. Poems should be handwritten on good quality (unlined) paper. You may prefer to have your poem or text written by a calligrapher or printed by traditional letterpress, both of which can be arranged through turn the page for a small fee.
